It all installed without a hitch and when I restarted the MacBook and wifi was showing, and I connected to it, very happy with install. I installed Ubuntu 22.04, used a USB drive, with an Ethernet cable connected to the MacBook, to give internet access, whilst installing. Hi, I’m very new to Ubuntu (just a couple of weeks in) I have a 13” McBook (late 2011) that runs Okay Model Identifier: MacBookPro8,1 Processor Name: Intel Core i5 Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz Ram 4 GB 1333 Mhz DDR3 Graphics intel HD 3000 384Mb Would Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz It was running High Sierra version 10.13.6 The MacOS did not get any OS or security update from Apple I asked a similar question to you here(see link) And was informed that Ubuntu 22.04 update come as default I did a full clean install, deleting the hard drive and installed 22.04 LTS from the link above.
